Access Modalities and Entry Assessment
- Average access time: 2 weeks
- Completion of a prior questionnaire and/or e-learning module before the training to identify needs and adapt the content
Evaluation Modalities
- In-training assessments: e-learning module, quizzes, role plays, case studies, etc.
- End-of-training assessment: evaluation completed by consultants to assess the achievement of training objectives, immediate feedback questionnaire including a self-assessment section

Step 2: On-site or remote training
Decoding Senegalese culture
- Cross-cultural representations and perceptions
- Historical, religious, social and cultural reference points
- The importance of the extended family, brotherhoods and relationship networks
- Recent transformations: urbanization, youth and entrepreneurial dynamism
Understanding Senegalese values and norms
- Pillars: respect, solidarity, dignity and hospitality
- Teranga: a deep culture of hospitality and generosity
- The importance of the collective (Mbokk): a “we” culture, a sense of community and social interdependence
- Relationship to authority, elders and hierarchy
- Relationship to time: flexibility, adaptation and priority given to the quality of the relationship
Working with / Managing Senegalese colleagues
- A diplomatic, warm and indirect communication style
- Building relationships: trust, a long-term approach and the importance of personal contacts
- Identifying decision-making circuits and influential contacts
- Adapting your stance: respect, patience, listening and consideration of cultural sensitivities
Adapting working methods
- Understanding decision-making processes: pace, hierarchical validation and the weight of informal channels
- Adapting to local practices: meetings, negotiation and managing multiple priorities
- Communication and implicit codes: preventing cultural misunderstandings and decoding non-verbal cues
- Managing disagreements (Maslaa): rephrasing tactfully, preserving the relationship and negotiating
Remote follow-up session 2 to 3 months after the training, for intra-company courses.
