1. What does "Akteos" mean?
"Akteos" is a compounding of greek words which indicates the place where the earth meets up with the sea.
- the earth represents memory, roots, the acquired skill and knowledge
- the sea symbolizes movement, travel, the otherness
Akteos places the human in front of discovery of the other, of the foreigner, in order to teach him understand, communicate and respond to it.
2. What is the significanfce of the logo?
The logo represents Man in a constant moving environment. The company, represented by the blue square, should help each individual, which constitute a part of its whole, get out in order to learn and develop new competences.
Each individual, represented by the orange square, is thus encouraged to meet up with foreign culture and will grow and become a asset for its company.

2. How do you recruit your consultants?
Our consultants meet very stringent requirements:
- they have themselves been expatriates for professional purposes
- they have extensive experience abroad (area managers, subsidiary managers, top-level university research)
- they maintain regular contact with the country or countries they specialise in
- they have good teaching skills and already have professional training experience
- they are very knowledgable about the culture of the country or countries they specialise in (research, articles, books…)
Training Sessions
1. What is the difference between intercompany and in-company courses?
- in-company courses are adapted to your specific requirements and exclusively reserved for your staff
- intercompany courses are more wide-ranging, planned on a agenda which is on-line; your staff can share their experience with staff from other companies
2. I need a course that is not listed in the intercompany programme. Can I request it?
When a course is not listed in the intercompany programme, please contact one of our project managers to organize an in-company course.

5. What courses are available under the Droit Individuel à la formation (individual training entitlement)?
Under the DIF, employees are now entitled to 20 hours' training a year. HR managers look for courses focusing on personal development and the acquisition of new skills. All of our trainings can be attended in the context of this entitlement.
6. Do you always use the same programme for your courses?
The heart of Akteos competency is the adaptation of programs to your particular requirements, such as your staff's training needs according to the duties they will perform abroad, your business sector, the city of their destination etc.
7. Can one have an outline of your courses before attending one?
Akteos organizes free coffee mornings during which an instructor gives a presentation of a particular course.
